Friday Wrap-Up: Beautifully Blended’s First Giveaway!

What’s up, Beautiful Peeps?!

Happy Friday!

Aren’t you just so excited for the weekend!?  I am.  A couple days to get up later than 5:30am & maybe I can catch up on rest & family time.  Today I’m going to tell you about a couple exciting things that are coming up over the next month but first I’m wondering if everyone found something to say “yes” to over the last couple days.  If not, today is a new day, so try again!  (For those of you who are completely lost, take a look at my last post on positive thinking & the power of saying yes more often.)

Yesterday I said yes when my oldest asked me if we could go to Target.  I usually say, No, we need to plan it . . . that wasn’t part of the evening schedule.  We really had nothing pressing going on and both boys were finished with homework & I couldn’t think of a real excuse to say no other than no is easier than yes.  It felt good to make them happy, plus I got a new Essie nail polish.  wink Friday Wrap Up: Beautifully Blendeds First Giveaway!  (I haven’t completely moved into organic nail polishes yet but I’m trying!)  Speaking of, I also just ordered a few 5-free polishes–1) formaldehyde 2) dibutyl phthalate (DBP) 3) toluene 4) formaldehyde resin and 5) camphor- free.  I’m going to try out & review them on the blog AND . . . on the new YouTube channel!

So all that to say, “yes” is feeling pretty good lately & I’m going to consciously say it to something everyday for the rest of the month and see how it makes me feel.  I hope Hubs isn’t reading this because . . . well, there may be children reading so let me leave it to the imagination. wink Friday Wrap Up: Beautifully Blendeds First Giveaway!

So the YouTube channel is exciting thing numero uno. I’ll post more about that next week.  On other exciting fronts . .  . I am going to be releasing a Kindle e-recipe book in the upcoming month!  This will be the first of a series & this one is great for anyone!  I had so many people asking me over the past year, What kind of healthy lunches do you put in the kids lunch boxes?  Finding great tasting healthy meals that can be packed to sit at room-temperature all day, don’t need to be warmed & your kids or (you!) will want to eat is super tough.  Coupling that with gluten-free options and/or meatless & nutless options seems almost impossible (at an affordable price) but it doesn’t have to be!  This e-book will give you some great lunch rotations that are not only super healthy but quick & easy to make.  For those of you wanting to eat majority plant-based but have a difficult time finding meals you like or if you are trying to get your kids into healthier eating this book will be a gem!

I’ll give you more info over the next few weeks but in a nutshell, “Lunchbox Love: Easy, Whole Food Lunches Your Kid Won’t Want to Trade,” is a compilation of some of my best the recipes (tried & trues and some more recently added to my rotation).  It’s geared towards school-aged kids who take a lunch to school but there are a gang of recipes that work equally as well for work lunches.

And here is a bonus . . .

A GIVEAWAY!  I’m a huge fan of PlanetBox lunch boxes.  For those of you who don’t know about them they are seriously the bee’s knees!  I discovered them about three years ago when I was looking for eco-friendly bento style lunch boxes for the Brown Boy Superheroes that would save me (and our Earth!) on buying plastic baggies or spending an arm & a leg on parchment baggies. After trying a few that were either a pain to clean, messy or just had too many pieces, I found PlanetBox:

They’re stainless steel & a complete set includes the lunch box, two SS containers with lids–a small one for sauces, dressings and dips and a large one that can house pasta, “juicy” dishes or they can be housed in carrying case’s front pouch & filled with snacks.  They promote perfect serving sizes and keep everything compartmentalized but easily accessible.  One of my biggest fears is the thought of my kindergartener at lunch trying to open all their little containers & struggling . . . spilling . . . starving!

PlanetBox Rover Complete Set with Food Fork and Spoon Set Coldkit Lunchbox XL Friday Wrap Up: Beautifully Blendeds First Giveaway!

Why the huge endorsement?  Well I just seriously love them.  So much that I wanted one of you to know the morning joy of just  having to throw a few things into the boxes and sending them on their way & then the evening joy I feel when I can throw them right into the dishwasher.

PlanetBox was kind enough to send me one for one of you beauties so I will be doing my first of many giveaways!  If you are interested in entering the giveaway, the instructions are easy. There are a bunch of different ways to be entered & I’ll share a new one in each new post.  The first way you can be entered to win the PlanetBox complete kit is by signing up for either the Beautifully Blended newsletter or by subscribing to the blog.  Do both and you’ll be entered twice!

Well that about does it for today; Monday I will talk more about my obsession with PlanetBox & make you a believer too!  Until then . . .
